Vanash was friendly and caring. One of the few doctors to take the time to explain everything in a simple way and to answer all of my questions. Before my surgery he explained in detail all of the possible outcomes, good and bad and still managed to put my mind at rest about the surgery. During my re overt period, he would also try to include me in decisions regarding my treatment before giving his recommendations to the nurses or other doctors so that I felt like part of the process. I hope that I never have to have this type of major surgery ever again but if I do, Vanash will be one of the people that I will want in the room.

Approachable, knowledgeable with a great bedside manner, he made the run up to my appendectomy clear and simple meaning that I was far more relaxed than previously about the procedure. The incisions look neat and clean this morning and all the admin needed for me to go home was done before I’ve even had my first coffee of the day! Fortunately I can’t need another appendectomy but if I did, I’d want Vanash to do it.

Vanash was very pleasant and explained the procedure to a great degree whilst being very reassuring. He made the process a lot less stressful and took the time to answer any questions I had.

Upbeat and personable. One of the few doctors to walk up to my bed, smile, ask how I was and then have a conversation WITH ME before answering questions and giving recommendations to the nurses / doctors to add to my notes. Typically doctors talk to each other about me at the end of the bed like I’m not here or I’m deaf.
